Jeffrey Moose Gallery is delighted to announce an exhibition of work by multi media artist Cory Bennett Anderson for the months of March and April. Known for his celebrity portraits, Mr. Bennett Anderson changes gears for this exhibit and shows only images of women, in a nod to International Women’s Month, and some abstract works.
On the heals of his highly popular “Heros” exhibition at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Cory Bennett Anderson returns to the gallery where we first showed his Jazz Portraits in 2018. Working with a rich mix of media including photos, acrylic, spray paint, wall paper cement, maps and found text and fabrics, he fashions the many textures into portraits that provide context and commentary. The women are all drop dead gorgeous, exuding confidence and sexuality.
Growing up in Vegas, he was spellbound by the enormity of celebrity names in neon. Taking a cue from his artist Grandma and after studying art and graphic design at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, he began to make portraits that combined a graffiti style, found, sometimes random text and textures. His powerful style was rewarded with sales and exhibits. His has shown in art fairs in Shanghai, Miami, Los Angeles and San Diego.
